An opportunity exists for a full-time painter to join Downlands College Property Services team. The Property Services Department is responsible for the operation, maintenance and upkeep of the college assets including buildings, facilities, equipment, grounds, vehicles and resources, working in collaboration with other college staff. This role is on a permanent basis to commence immediately or as otherwise negotiated. The Role Minor refurbishment works Scheduled and reactive building and equipment maintenance Building and equipment repairs Painting Landscaping Event set up of college facilities for college events and for hire by outside user groups About You A valid Working With Children Check – Blue Card (essential) Trade qualification in painting or demonstrated knowledge and experience to a trade qualification level (essential) Knowledge and skills in building and equipment maintenance and repairs will be considered highly desirable. Working knowledge and history of applying safe work practices in a property management environment including using SWMS, identifying and mitigating safety issues/practices. A valid Queensland White Card is advantageous.
