This is a fantastic opportunity to join our innovative, progressive, and caring team. Responsibilities Lead, direct and coordinate consumer care for a multidisciplinary clinical mental health team (approx. 6 FTE) within the Adult Community Mental Health Service. Ensure safe and efficient clinical practice, maintaining standards of care through continual quality improvement and patient‑safety initiatives. Lead and coordinate the clinical team. Monitor business and management functions and processes within the team. The Clinical Manager ensures the team provides comprehensive strengths‑based assessments with consumers and formulates time‑limited packages of care signed off by consumers and their caregivers. These packages detail the clinical mental health services and other wrap‑around supports to be provided. They will also oversee the provision of high‑quality evidence‑based clinical services, including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison and review as part of a multidisciplinary team for adults referred to the service with a mental illness or disorder. The Clinical Manager maintains responsibilities for personal and professional development by participating in training/education activities and performance reviews to continuously improve the level and quality of service. Manage delegated financial responsibilities, developing and maintaining strategies and effective allocation of resources, to ensure optimal health outcomes are managed within budget. Comply with and implement the NSW Health Work Health and Safety Better Practice Procedures by identifying, assessing, eliminating/controlling, and monitoring hazards and risks within the workplace, to the extent of delegated authority for the role. Selection Criteria Social Worker or Occupational Therapist qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award. Social Worker eligible for membership of AASW or Occupational Therapist with current registration with AHPRA. Registered Nurse/Midwife with current unrestricted registration with AHPRA and meet the requirement for NUM 1 grading under the NSW Public Health System Nurses' and Midwives' State Award. Psychology registration with the PsyBA, along with completion of 12 months at the 9th year of service and thereafter point on the salary scale for Psychologists. For Clinical Psychologists, full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), with endorsement in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology (or eligibility to progress towards the same), along with a minimum two‑year full‑time accredited postgraduate masters or doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology or Neuropsychology. Demonstrated skills in leadership and management within an adult community mental health care setting, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Has undertaken and continues to engage in professional development to further advance management and leadership competencies. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the management and delivery of adult community mental health care services with a focus on recovery‑oriented and strengths approaches that incorporate consumer collaboration in care planning. Demonstrated understanding of Workplace Health and Safety legislation. Demonstrated understanding of quality improvement and the ability to manage change. Good computer literacy skills. Current driver’s licence (or willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
