Learn from and collaborate with Driscoll's global Research & Development (R&D) colleaguesBe part of a dynamic and supportive teamTHE ROLEIn this exciting newly created role, you will be at the forefront of cutting-edge research, supporting the development and execution of projects in new genetic deployment and special projects across all berry categories. This is your chance to showcase your technical prowess in growing techniques, plant types and genetics as you coordinate and roll out on-farm and Test Plot trials.Reporting directly to the Applied Research Manager (ARM), you will be a key player in providing support and expertise for local applied research projects. This opportunity offers a platform for you to not only demonstrate your skills, but also contribute to the advancement of agricultural research in the berry industry.Some of your key responsibilities will include:Overseeing farm trials and reporting of trials within the regionConduct research data collection and production of technical reportsTrial Analysis - growing new genetics and the deployment of new geneticsIdentify continuous improvement opportunities and develop pragmatic solutionsAssist ARM in the identification of new plant varietal types, sustainability trials, technology efficiencies and specifications to meet local production requirements and needsPerform regular site visits and ensure accurate experimental processes are in placeSKILLS & EXPERIENCETo be considered for this role, applicants will need to demonstrate capabilities in the following:Preferred tertiary qualifications in Agricultural Science or related fieldPrevious experience in an agricultural research role is highly regardedProficiency in Microsoft SutiteProven experience with stakeholder managementDemonstrated agronomic knowledge from previous work or studiesAbility to travel interstate and internationally when requiredFlexibility with occasional meetings outside of traditional working hours (for global R&D meetings)ABOUT USDriscoll’s Australia is an exciting joint venture company owned by Costa Group - Australia’s leading integrated growing and marketer of premium quality fresh produce and Driscoll’s (USA) – the world’s market leader in berries.
