About This Opportunity Who we are SAFE (Saving Animals From Euthanasia) is WA’s largest volunteer-run animal rescue organisation. Founded in Karratha in 2003, we’ve helped over 40,000 healthy, rehomeable animals find new families across the state. We operate on a foster care model, with 11 branches across WA. The heart of SAFE is our network of 2,000+ volunteers who help us give cats and dogs a second chance at life. Our work is powered by community support, practical partnerships, and a shared belief that every animal deserves a safe, loving home. About The Role This is a newly created volunteer role that is central to the continued success and future growth of SAFE Inc. You’ll help plan and deliver the fundraising efforts that keep SAFE running, from writing grants and running campaigns, to building donor relationships and supporting events. You’ll collaborate with the Board and other volunteers to assist us in securing the funding we need to rehome more animals across WA. The role is flexible, remote, and focused on sharing your skills in a way that works for you, and a real opportunity to shape how we fund our work into the future. What You’ll Help Us With Identifying and exploring new funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and partnerships Supporting the development of a fundraising plan Assisting with grants, donor campaigns, and fundraising events Helping maintain donor databases and support donor communications Sharing updates and collaborating with other volunteers Helping shape how we fund our work now and into the future About You We're looking for someone who: Has experience in fundraising, donor relations, or grant writing Communicates clearly and confidently Is motivated, reliable, and works well independently Believes in SAFE Inc.’s mission and values Is comfortable volunteering remotely Bonus If You Also Have A background in animal welfare, marketing, or community engagement Knowledge of government grants or local funding opportunities Strong local knowledge or WA-based connections who can help strengthen our presence in the community and open doors to new fundraising opportunities.
