Asphalt Lab Technician

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Lab Technician to join our team at B.A. ROAD SERVICES PTY LTD in Truganina, Victoria. This full-time role is crucial in supporting our road construction operations and ensuring the quality of our asphalt products. As the Asphalt Lab Technician, you will play a key part in the success of our business. What you'll be doing Conduct a range of tests on asphalt samples to assess their quality and compliance with industry standards Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results Analyse test data and prepare detailed reports for project managers and clients Support the development and implementation of new testing procedures and quality control measures Provide technical guidance and training to production staff on asphalt testing and quality control Assist with the implementation of the company's quality management system What we're looking for Relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering, materials science or a related technical field Minimum 3 years' experience as an Asphalt Lab Technician or in a similar role within the construction or materials testing industry Demonstrated expertise in conducting a range of asphalt and materials tests such as binder content, aggregate grading, and Marshall stability tests Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret test results and provide technical recommendations Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation Experience in the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instrumentation Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders and external clients About us B.A. ROAD SERVICES PTY LTD is a leading provider of road construction and maintenance services in Victoria.
