Accountant / Bookkeeper

Bianco Reinforcing is a major South Australian supplier of reinforcing steel, operating multiple processing facilities and supporting some of the state’s largest construction projects. We’re looking for a capable and motivated Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our team and take ownership of day-to-day financial operations. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys responsibility, can work independently, and wants to be part of a well‑established and growing business. About the Role You will be responsible for the financial administration of the business, supporting management with accurate reporting and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role covers everything from bookkeeping tasks through to higher-level accounting support. Key responsibilities include: Accounts payable and receivable Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations Payroll processing (full‑time, part‑time and casual staff) Superannuation, PAYG, WorkCover and payroll compliance Preparation of BAS and IAS (in coordination with external accountants) Managing supplier statements and payment cycles Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems Assisting with month‑end reporting and budgeting Providing general administrative support to management when required What We’re Looking For Essential: Experience in bookkeeping or accounting (3+ years preferred) Strong understanding of AP, AR, payroll and reconciliations Confidence using accounting software (Xero, MYOB or similar) High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and manage workload Strong communication and organisational skills Desirable: Exposure to job costing, inventory or project accounting Certificate IV in Bookkeeping/Accounting or Bachelor‑level accounting studies What We Offer Competitive salary ($75–90k + super depending on experience) Stable, long‑term role in a well‑established SA business Supportive leadership and a collaborative team environment On‑site parking at our Gepps Cross facility Opportunity to grow your skills and take full ownership of the accounting function #J-18808-Ljbffr
