Bar and Café Attendant

Start Date: Immediate start Pay Rate: $32.67 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) + Meal allowance when shift is 5.5 hours or more Requirements: Must hold a current RSA. Experience in bar or café operations is essential; experience in both is highly regarded. Job Summary The Bar and/or Café Attendant is responsible for delivering friendly, efficient, and professional service across our bar and café outlets. The role involves preparing and serving beverages, assisting with food service, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring every guest enjoys a great experience. Primary Purpose To provide quality service and support in bar and café operations, contributing to a positive experience for all members and guests. Skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Responsibilities Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages Operate coffee machines and serve café-style food items Take and deliver orders accurately Handle cash and EFTPOS transactions Maintain cleanliness of bar, café, and service areas Comply with all RSA and workplace safety requirements Qualifications Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate Availability to work across days, nights, weekends, and public holidays Over 18 years old About Us The Canberra Southern Cross Club is one of Canberra’s largest private employers, operating four hospitality venues and several fitness centres.
