Software Tester – Medibank We are looking for a passionate, quality‑focused software tester to join our dynamic digital team. You’ll serve as a key contributor to delivering reliable software solutions that integrate with multiple third‑party technology partners. The Opportunity As part of an agile squad, you’ll work closely with engineers, delivery managers, and business stakeholders to ensure exceptional user experiences. This hands‑on role gives you the chance to influence quality across the development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Test planning and execution: design and implement test strategies, plans, and cases for web applications and API integrations. Conduct functional, regression, performance, and exploratory testing, including UAT. Automation & tooling: develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, XRay, REST Assured, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions. API & integration testing: validate third‑party integrations and APIs with Postman and other relevant tools, ensuring end‑to‑end functionality. Defect management & reporting: log and track defects in Jira, provide actionable feedback, and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues. Agile collaboration: participate in sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and demos, advocating testing best practices throughout development. Must Haves 3+ years of testing experience across web applications and APIs, with strong knowledge of functional, regression, and performance testing. Hands‑on experience with Playwright, REST Assured, Postman, and familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber JVM. Experience with CI/CD integration. Proven Agile experience, using Jira and Confluence for project and test management. Strong collaboration skills: ability to work closely with developers, product owners, and cross‑functional teams.
