This position will be responsible for the planning and management of a range of strategic projects aimed to increase the economic growth, employment, investment, government infrastructure and services in Mandurah. To be successful in this role, you will need : Relevant degree Current unrestricted C class national driver’s licence. Demonstrated professional experience of at least 3 years in economic or business development, private investment attraction and / or delivery and implementation of strategic initiatives. Experience in working with the business sector and understanding of factors affecting business growth (desirable). Experience in working with the human capital sector and understanding of key issues and opportunities in skill development, higher education, and employment pathways (desirable). Sound understanding of the business development and investment process, financial reporting and key factors driving regional economic growth. Demonstrated ability to be collaborative and build relationships internally and externally to further the reputation and success of Mandurah. Research, analytical thinking and report-writing skills. Ability to discuss, articulate and challenge business plans and options. Knowledge of Australian and State Government grant funding program.
