About the role We’re seeking a Senior QA Engineer to analyse requirements, undertake hands‑on manual testing and automate using TOSCA to be proactively involved in the continual maturity of the Transurban Quality Engineering capability (Hybrid Senior Tester). You’ll join an innovative team that works collaboratively and strives for best practices. As our Senior QA Engineer, you will contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work. Day‑to‑day, you will: Assist the Test Lead / Test Manager in accurately estimating BAU/project automated testing activities across Agile/Hybrid delivery methodologies. Create / Provide inputs into Test Plans. Create Test Plans and manage the delivery of test plans (as required) in accordance with the Test Strategy / Transurban governance framework. Create Test Scenarios manually using qTest and where appropriate generate automated test scripts with TOSCA, and test data based on Project / BAU requirements or agreed test targets. Create and support the test automation team with the creation of test harness, stubs, test data for all test types. Consult and provide subject‑matter knowledge to vendors and other areas of Transurban, including business and technology teams as required. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders. Maintain a strong working relationship with business and 3rd‑party vendors, ensuring delivery to requirements. Assess quality risks, implement appropriate controls. Qualifications Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional multi‑company team environment and communicate with clients and internal stakeholders. Tertiary education – Bachelor in Computing/Engineering/Science/Technology or equivalent full‑time industry experience. Experience in TOSCA automation, test engineer / integration test analyst role in large complex transformation projects. Possess in‑depth experience in all areas of the SDLC/STLC. Strong software testing background with experience in all test levels. Experience working with Agile, Hybrid and Waterfall delivery. Extensive TOSCA integration testing experience with several 3rd‑party & co‑dep systems. Extensive experience in the testing of complex integrated platforms (Onboarding, Transactional, Customer & Billing, Payments) or similar technologies. Experience in defect management. Experience in API testing using TOSCA – OSV. Experience in cloud testing. Excellent reporting skills. Experience working with testing tools and technologies, QTest, TOSCA, JIRA/Confluence. Desired Skills and Experience Must have automation – TOSCA experience. Solid manual testing background. Possess in‑depth experience in all areas of the SDLC/STLC. Strong software testing background with experience in all test levels. Experience working with Agile, Hybrid and Waterfall delivery.
