We are seeking a versatile and experienced Solutions Architect with strong knowledge across cloud security, SaaS platforms, and operational technologies (OT). This role will provide architectural oversight, technical due diligence, and practical solution design for APAM’s cloud-based initiatives and OT-integrated projects. You will have at least 10 years of experience defining and delivering ICT strategies, application roadmaps, and technology solutions. This is an initial 6-month contract engagement , with a high likelihood of extension for the right candidate. The role is located in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs , with onsite work preferred , though hybrid arrangements may be negotiated . Key Responsibilities Design, evaluate, and govern APAM’s use of cloud-based solutions with a strong focus on security, compliance, and fit‑for‑purpose functionality. Provide architectural oversight for Azure infrastructure and SaaS applications. Conduct technical due diligence for new and existing third‑party cloud applications. Support the implementation of a SaaS‑based procurement platform. Operational Technology (OT) Integration Understand OT environments and how they integrate with traditional IT infrastructure. Provide architectural guidance for aviation‑related OT initiatives, including apron gate monitoring using camera systems and data integration into vendor tools for turnaround and baggage wait‑time analytics. Initial Projects Lead architectural support for the rollout of the SaaS procurement platform. Support the aviation OT project involving camera feeds and operational analytics. Required Skills & Experience Minimum 10 years delivering ICT strategies, application roadmaps, and enterprise technology solutions. At least 5 years of relevant local experience as a Senior Solutions Architect in Australia. Strong background in cloud security, Azure, SaaS solution architecture, and integration patterns. Experience working with operational technologies and integrating OT with IT environments. Ability to assess technical risks, provide solution governance, and ensure compliance and security standards.
