Job Description JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for the provision of ground maintenance services, safe and efficient operations of gardening equipment and machinery to ensure our client’s landscaped grounds are maintained as per the site schedule and specifications. Your key responsibilities will include: Chemical spraying, pulling weeds and clearing areas of debris Use of spraying equipment like backpack sprayer, knapsack sprayer and motorised spraying equipment, to control weeds, pests and insects Temporary warning signs placed when required. Tasks to be carried out in a manner that causes the least inconvenience to customers, staff and the general public. Operate equipment and machinery in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and the SNT operating procedures Report maintenance and repair issues to the area supervisor. Understand and comply with quality, safety, health and environmental policies. Follow written instructions, verbal direction and procedures to perform work. Challenge any instructions that you believe places anyone or the environment at risk. Take personal responsibility to protect the health and safety of people or the environment. Desired Skills and Experience SELECTION CRITERIA: ESSENTIALS: Class C Driver’s Licence (manual) Work under limited supervision either individually or in a team environment. A satisfactory National Police Security Check Report. Be physically able to perform the duties of the position Be able to perform manual work for long periods outdoors DESIRABLE: Chem Certificate or ability to obtain Knowledge of pest and weed control.
