About the role :

Join our team as our new Mechanical Supervisor at our Mayfield site, 10 minutes drive from Newcastle City Centre.

You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and positive team environment and lead a talented team of Fitters, Mechanical Planner and lube technicians.This is a great opportunity to work for an inclusive employer that is committed to building a diverse workforce.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supervising the mechanical team and providing leadership and structureEnsuring planned tasks are done on time, within budget and to qualityImplement strategy from a reactive to a proactive environmentIdentify areas of process improvement and champion these improvements throughout the teamReview and improve the maintenance strategy based on plant performance and breakdowns

About your experience :

Qualified trade or very sound mechanical aptitudePrevious experience in a similar role, ideally in manufacturingTeam leadership experience is preferredSystems experience in SAP is preferredExperience in reliabilitybased maintenance workExceptional time management with proven ability to meet deadlinesCourage to challenge the statusquo and drive mechanical reliability improvements.
