Business Development Manager - Recycling and Resource Recovery Re.Group is an Australian-owned company focused on solutions for recycling and recovery of resources from waste. We're looking for an influential and strategically minded Business Development Manager to lead the development of new business opportunities and manage key relationships with councils and commercial partners. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this is a high-impact role that will shape the future of our Queensland operations. You'll play a key role in expanding our footprint, championing sustainable solutions, and positioning Re.Group as the partner of choice in the recycling and resource recovery sector. About the role Build and maintain strong networks with council decision makers and commercial partners to secure and grow recycling service contracts Drive business growth by identifying and pursuing opportunities in a competitive recycling market Apply deep knowledge of local government procurement processes to win and renew service agreements Represent Re.Group's sustainability vision and service capabilities to prospective clients and stakeholders Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling proposals and tailored solutions Track industry trends and competitor activity to refine business development strategy Ensure the renewal of existing client contracts while achieving growth targets About you Significant experience in sales, account management or business development within recycling, sustainability, or related sectors Well‑established professional network within Queensland local government and commercial partners Strong grasp of local government procurement processes, tendering, and decision‑making structures Proven track record of securing contracts, growing revenue and managing stakeholder relationships Outstanding communication and negotiation skills Relevant tertiary qualifications and 10+ years of experience in a similar role Why us?
