Field Service Mechanic WesTrac Tamworth is looking for experienced Field Service Plant or Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our skilled team. Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will provide diagnostic support for a range of CAT machinery, ensuring that all repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections meet Caterpillar standards. Using your CAT expertise, you will guarantee work is conducted to a high level with a safety‑conscious mindset and ensure breakdown solutions result in minimal downtime of machines. This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of CAT equipment and is an excellent entry point into a career with WesTrac. Roster and Remuneration Roster: 12.5‑Hour Shifts, 7/7 (4 days on, 3 nights on, 7 off) Shift Times: Day Shift 06:00 AM to 18:30 PM / Night Shift 18:00 PM to 06:30 AM Potential earnings up to $200k OTE + Super *Rates above are a guide only and each candidate will be assessed based on competencies and experience* Skills & Experience Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent Australian Recognised Certificate of Proficiency (COP) & Transcripts Familiar with Caterpillar Equipment OEM Experience (highly desirable) Exposure to SIS or ET (highly desirable) Excellent diagnostic and repair skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work autonomously in the field and in a team Why WesTrac?
