You will develop E3 models and plan, conduct and report on test activities within HDA’s E3 chamber at the Hanwha Armoured Vehicle Centre of Excellence (H-ACE) and at Commonwealth facilities for HDA’s current and future projects.Your primary areas of responsibilities:Supporting the development of HDA’s RF Architecture and HDA’s Earthing ArchitectureConducting Antenna and RF design studies, including non-ionising radiation hazards to personnel, ordinance and fuel per recognised standards (such as ARPANSA RPS S-1, DEOP115 and Defence Fuel Management System - Element 6.16)Planning, conduct and reporting of the E3 for HDA programs, including the modelling and physical measurement of the E3 performance of the relevant supplies.Planning and conducting AV&V activities in the area of E3 and RF Engineering.Providing technical input to support TEMPEST implementation.Supporting oversight of EMI/EMC compliance of sub-systems.Supporting the management of E3 capability through systems engineering product lifecycle from concept through to Design Acceptance for a Land PlatformUpdating and maintaining all relevant engineering artefacts in accordance with project activitiesReporting on progress against deliverables, proposed activities, risks and issues, and key prioritiesAbout youAs an ideal candidate you will have:Mandatory:Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering or Science discipline or equivalent work experienceRadiation Hazard Safety Officer (RFRSO1) or suitability to achieve this qualificationMeets Engineers Australia criteria for Chartered Professional Engineer.Experience:Highly desirable is defence experience in the conduct and reporting of E3 testing including the usage of RF test instruments such as spectrum analysers and network analysers.Knowledge/experience in Electromagnetic Modelling, ideally using CST Microwave Studio.Knowledge of E3 and C4I system management, installation, integration, testing, operation and maintenance.Skills and Key Attributes:Strong E3 mindset combined with pragmatism to achieve concurrently safe and effective systemsProven ability to influence technical and project engineers. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities.Proven ability to effectively manage relationships and positively resolve disputes with internal/external stakeholders.Meticulous approach to work, with the ability to identify potential risks and issues proactively. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality.Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.Demonstrates adaptability and can be flexible to meet the needs of the organisation and other team members.To be successful in this role, you will need to be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security clearance ( must be Australian Citizen ).
