Commercial / Domestic Cleaners (Forklift License required) J L KING are a locally owned and operated business in Bendigo, manufacturing salads and ready meals, along with supplying the freshest produce within central Victoria. We currently have several cleaning positions vacant within our Food Manufacturing, Cool rooms, Admin & Common areas. Some of these areas are classed as HIGH risk and will require extra training from our QA team. Responsibilities Perform heavy cleaning of floors, walls, glass, tearoom, toilets, change rooms, factory and more. Operate industrial cleaning equipment (power washers, floor scrubbers, vacuums). Ensure that all cleaning operations adhere to established health and safety procedures. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs. Remove hazardous materials in line with safety regulations. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Clean down factory machinery, requiring a high level of care. Handle and store cleaning supplies and chemicals safely. Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours. Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems. Qualifications Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery. Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets. Integrity and ability to work independently.
