We are looking for passionate and caring individuals to make a difference in our clients' lives by assisting them to live at home independently for as long as possible. You will be travelling around Ryde and surrounding suburbs in a varied and rewarding role - no two days will be the same Day to day role looks like: Supporting and connecting with our clients assisting with day to day in home tasks - cleaning, tidying, washing and other tasks within the client's care plan Transport to appointments and shopping Meal preparation Social Support or Respite for family/carers Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained) To be successful in this role you’ll need: A genuine passion for providing high quality care to the older Australian's in the community To be comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people To be a reliable team player To have an understanding of workplace health and safety Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support highly regarded (but not essential) An Australian driver's licence and access to a registered motor vehicle (essential) What we can offer you: Competitive hourly pay rate + Km reimbursement (99c per Km) + paid travel time Not-for-profit tax benefits so you pay less tax Career growth and increased earning potential Earn and learn - we will support you to get a Certificate 3 in Individual Support with paid placement Fitness Passport discounted gym benefits Paid Parental leave Long Service leave after 5 years A values-based organisation that welcomes applicants from all faiths and backgrounds We know you have many choices of employer - choose Catholic Healthcare where you can make a positive impact and be well rewarded.
