We are currently seeking an experienced, site‑based HSEQ Advisor to join an upcoming project in NSW. This pivotal role will see you provide expert Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) guidance to project teams, ensuring compliance with legislation, company standards client obligations. The position will suit someone based in the Illawarra region who is available to work Monday‑Friday + every 2nd Saturday (10 hour working days). The Opportunity As the HSEQ Advisor on‑site, you will be developing and implementing safety and quality initiatives, ensuring a safe working environment, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Assist in the development and implementation of HSEQ policies and management systems. Conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Support compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices. Work collaboratively with project managers, supervisors, and stakeholders to align HSEQ objectives. Provide guidance and support on all project‑related HSEQ matters. Assist in the development of training programs to enhance workforce safety awareness and competency. Your Background Minimum of 3 years of HSEQ experience in heavy industry environment. Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) & White Card. Sound awareness on WHS Legislation and Regulations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead effective toolbox discussion and infield interactions. Strong field leadership skills with ability to motivate the workforce in the application of Safe Systems of Work. Demonstrated experience in supporting and promoting HSEQ initiatives. Understanding of HSEQ management systems and compliance frameworks. Nice to have: DoneSafe platform experience, prior working experience in demolition or large manufacturing and refinery facilities, auditing experience, Mental Health First Aid.
