Overview The Shire is the fastest growing local government in WA. We seek an experienced Strategic Planner to shape our rapidly growing Shire. Responsibilities Assess strategic land use planning applications including scheme amendments, structure plans, local development plans, subdivisions and clearances. Apply relevant legislation and the State and local planning framework to assist residents, stakeholders and community organisations on strategic planning matters. Undertake land use planning policy review and development to guide future growth. Participate in the development of strategic council projects, including project management, stakeholder engagement, and urban design. Qualifications Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. Commitment to excellent customer service. View planning as a function based upon collaboration with the community. Experience in strategic planning within an urban/rural environment.
