We are currently seeking a highly collaborative and engaging Aboriginal XR / Videographer: Creative Lead to join our Digital Content team to develop and deliver a series of full-dome planetarium and VR documentaries for an exciting partnership with the Department of biodiversity, conservation and attractions and the Aboriginal Ranger Program. This position is offered as Full Time role on a maximum 9 month fixed-term basis. This role involves travel across WA, and although we are based in Perth, we are also open to applicants located across the state. In this role you will: Lead the narrative direction, creative concepts and overall storytelling vision for all dome and VR productions. Direct all filming and production activities, working closely with a small internal creative team. Oversee the editing of 360°/ VR footage to deliver compelling immersive experiences. Plan and manage production timelines, location shoots and deliverables in collaboration with the Producer. Undertake extensive travel within Western Australia for filming and community engagement. Who are we looking for? We’re looking for a self-driven creative with strong communication skills to lead and shape the creative direction of a grant-funded immersive media project. This identified First Nations role will lead the storytelling, narrative development and production approach, ensuring each work is grounded in cultural respect, authenticity and care for First Nations voices and environments. Other skills and experience required includes: High level of competence in documentary film making and story telling Some experience in VR and XR storytelling and video production Understanding of copyright laws, rules and regulations in relation to digital content creation Advance skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Teams) and SharePoint. Two years of relevant experience in science communication, digital media communication and / or writing and editing (Desirable). National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one.
