Senior Software Engineer (Mobile) Role at Repeat Senior Software Engineers at Repeat.gg work on our product. They work with peers on teams dedicated to areas of the product. They work together with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to solve common goals. All software engineers work across the backend (Node.js) and frontend (React.js, TypeScript) parts of our application. The mobile engineer also handles the additional responsibility of delivering high‑quality mobile applications to market. Demonstrated expertise in both Android (Google Play) and iOS (Apple Store) delivery Demonstrated expertise in React Native, React, and Expo General Requirements Professional experience with TypeScript Professional experience working with Node.js, SQL (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and MongoDB Experience writing automated tests (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Karma, Jasmine, Mocha, AVA, tape) Experience using Git in a professional/workplace environment Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote, largely asynchronous environment Clear, concise communication about complex technical, architectural, and organizational problems; ability to propose thorough iterative solutions Experience with performance and optimization problems; ability to diagnose and prevent these problems Comfort working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process Ability to onboard and integrate long‑term into an organization Positive and solution‑oriented mindset Effective communication; regular consensus-building with peers and clear status updates Inclination toward communication, inclusion, and visibility Self‑motivated and self‑managing with strong organizational skills Ability to work closely with other parts of the organization Alignment with company values and work in accordance with them Nice to Have Experience in a high‑performance, tech‑startup environment Experience with competitive video games such as Fortnite, DotA2, League of Legends, Rocket League, etc. Product company experience Enterprise software company experience Developer platform / tool industry experience Experience working with a global or multicultural team Experience contributing to open‑source software Ownership of the technical delivery of the Repeat mobile app to market Guidance and coaching to team members on technical mobile development General Responsibilities Develop features and improvements to the Repeat product in a secure, well‑tested, and performant way Iterate on new features with Product Management and stakeholders (Backend, UX, etc.) within the Repeat product Craft code that meets internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices in a high‑scale web environment; advocate these standards through code review Ship small features and improvements with minimal guidance and support Improve the overall experience of our product by enhancing frontend features within your group and across groups Identify areas of improvement in the codebase, both group‑specific and cross‑group (e.g., component library), and contribute Collaborate and teach other software engineers; everyone can contribute new ideas regardless of seniority Fix prioritized issues from the issue tracker, typically bugs with severity and priority labels Follow the workflow process alongside the rest of the engineering team and the Repeat community Participate in an on‑call roster to ensure 24/7 availability for emergency situations, with prompt response and resolution of critical incidents outside normal business hours Seniority level Associate Employment type Contract Job function Information Technology Industries: Computer Games #J-18808-Ljbffr
