Customer Service Officer Start Date: 12th January 2026 End Date: 26th June 2026 (with potential for extension) Rate: $35.15 per hour Locations: Wollongong, Newcastle, Bathurst Hours: 35 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Rotational shifts between 8:00am – 5:00pm Key Responsibilities Ability to deliver high quality customer service, through strong customer engagement in a high-volume contact centre environment Handle customer enquiries promptly and courteously while maintaining confidentiality and using discretion in the performance of all duties Identify, refer, and assign non-standard and more complex enquiries to a Centre of Expertise for action and resolution Maintain currency in knowledge of policy, legislation, and related business processes to respond to customer needs efficiently and effectively Maintain accurate data records in a customer management system to ensure that customer enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner Use multiple technology platforms and databases confidently Meet contact centre KPIs on a daily and monthly basis Essential Requirements Previous experience in customer service; preferably in a call centre environment Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong technical experience, with the ability to use multiple technology platforms and databases Availability for full-time training on-site for the first 4–5 weeks Willingness to work on a rotating roster (Mon–Fri, 8:00am–6:00pm) Typing test (alphanumerical) required – results must be submitted with application Two references (to be completed at time of shortlisting) If you have the relevant skills and experience for this role, please apply with your up-to-date resume (in Word format).
