Overview Permanent Teaching Position – Commencing 2026 Adelaide Hills Campus | King’s Early Learning King’s Baptist Grammar School is seeking a passionate and qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our Early Learning team at the Adelaide Hills campus. About King’s Early Learning King’s Early Learning is a faith-based centre of excellence for children aged 3–5 years. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, our approach honours each child as a unique gift from God—full of potential and capable of contributing meaningfully to their world. About the Role As an Early Childhood Teacher at King’s Early Learners, you will: Establish a stimulating, child-centred, and positive learning environment aligned with our values. Prioritise the pastoral care and welfare of all children in our care. Develop strong relationships with children and help them explore and develop their faith. Utilise effective teaching strategies inspired by Reggio Emilia and the Early Years Learning Framework. Identify individual learning needs and create differentiated experiences for effective engagement. Assess and document children’s learning and development in line with policies. Communicate effectively with parents through various channels, including meetings, portfolios, and reports. Collaborate with the Director to develop Individual Learning Plans for children with specific needs. Essential Criteria A personal commitment to King’s Vision, Mission and Values that underpin the delivery of a Christian-based education to students in the School community is essential to this role. A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA-approved equivalent. Registration (or eligibility) with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia. Experience in an Early Learning Centre, ideally within a school context. Strong understanding of faith-based education and nurturing a child’s faith journey. Familiarity with or willingness to learn the Reggio Emilia approach. A passion for creating a positive and engaging learning environment. Strong understanding of early childhood development, inclusive practices, and parent engagement.
