Telecommunications Civil & Structural Draftsperson We are seeking a highly motivated Structural Draftsperson familiar with telecommunications civil works including pits, conduits, remediation and NBN-style civil design. This role fits an individual who can transform field concepts into precise, build‑ready drawings that support our expanding telecommunications infrastructure projects. Task & Responsibilities Develop detailed drawings, plans and digital models for civil components of telecommunications infrastructure, including pit installations, upgrades, conduit routes, and ACIT site layouts. Use CAD and other design software to convert engineering concepts and field sketches into accurate civil and structural documentation suitable for construction and compliance. Prepare site layout plans, ground profiles, basic topographical representations and other mapping outputs to support new network builds and civil installation works. Update and refine existing drawings in response to engineering directives, network changes, and remediation findings across pits, conduits, and associated civil structures. Produce sketches, charts, tabulations and design documents for civil works supporting telecommunications networks such as access pits, cable pathways, service routes, drainage around installations and small structural elements associated with network equipment. Coordinate with civil engineers, project managers and field technicians to ensure drawings align with on‑site conditions, safety requirements and project specifications. Qualification & Experience Tertiary qualifications in civil or structural drafting/engineering design. Proficiency in CAD, AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation or SolidWorks. Strong understanding of civil drafting principles, with exposure to utilities or infrastructure projects. Ability to interpret engineering instructions and translate them into clear, accurate drawings. Familiarity with telecommunications civil works (pits, conduits, remediation, NBN‑style civil design) is highly regarded. Knowledge of industry standards, WHS, and compliance practices.
