The Opportunity We’re seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our Bendigo site. This is a hands‑on leadership role supporting a busy and diverse municipal contract that covers cardboard, general waste, EPA / biosecurity waste, and liquid collections. You will lead a team of over 20 drivers, along with other support staff to keep operations safe, compliant, efficient and customer-focused. Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to : Supervise operations and be accountable for the performance of day-to-day operational activities. Train, mentor, and motivate operations staff to maintain high-performance standards and promote a culture of safety and teamwork. Prepare operational reports, performance metrics, and other documentation as required. Conduct daily pre-starts, safety briefings, and toolbox talks to keep the team informed and focused on safety and compliance. Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational optimisation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies and procedures. About You Prior experience in a similar supervisory role within the waste or logistics industries is desirable. Heavy rigid (HR) driver's license is preferred but not essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, coach, and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced, complex operations environment. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with a hands‑on approach to resolving operational challenges. Strong commitment to safety and compliance, with experience conducting safety briefings and managing incident reports. Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with team members and handle customer inquiries professionally. Why join Cleanaway?
