Create meaningful connections that strengthen families and communities. As a Community Engagement Connector, you’ll play a vital role in Meli’s Family Preservation and Reunification (FPR) program by building partnerships, breaking down systemic barriers, and co‑designing community‑led strategies. This is a dynamic role where you’ll work with local networks, cultural organisations, and service providers to create sustainable opportunities that empower families and promote inclusion. About the Role As a Community Engagement Connector, you will: Build strong relationships with community groups, agencies, and stakeholders to enhance opportunities for families. Identify systemic barriers and collaborate on strategies that improve access to services and community supports. Facilitate workshops and capacity‑building initiatives to strengthen community engagement. Support culturally informed responses, including partnerships with Aboriginal organisations. What We’re Looking For We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Health Promotion, Psychology, Social Work, or an associated discipline. Demonstrated understanding of and experience in identifying systemic barriers for young people and families working towards achieving meaningful community connections. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally, including demonstrated experience in community engagement and collaborative partnerships. Demonstrated experience in facilitating workshops or training sessions to stakeholders and colleagues. Current Victorian drivers licence.
