Biosecurity Officer An opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced Biosecurity Officer to join the Regulatory Compliance Team. About the Role Working with the Biosecurity Coordinator you will: provide advice to landholders on the identification and control of biosecurity matter and environmental weeds. undertake biosecurity inspections and control activities across the Shire. undertake community and staff education in weed identification and control measures. About You The ideal candidate will: have willingness to work weekends or after hours when required. have good customer service and communications skills with the ability to interact with landowners and the general public. have the ability to follow direction, as well as the ability to self-manage work. have experience updating biosecurity databases (including the use of GIS). have willingness to undertake water and helicopter inspections. have knowledge and experience enforcing biosecurity activities.
