The Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre (MVSC) is a multi-disciplinary specialist veterinary centre providing Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Behavioural Medicine, Surgical and Imaging services from two locations to veterinary practices within metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.Job Description

Dermatology Veterinary NurseImmediate startFull time or Part time position – on a 12 month contract (with the possibility of permanent employment)Working at our Glen Waverley and or Essendon Fields locationsCertificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent appropriate tertiary qualification is preferredMinimum of 2 years’ experience in general practice requiredThe MVSC dermatology department is seeking a veterinary nurse to provide high quality patient care and assist the specialist veterinarians in various tasks. The position requires a high level and quality of nursing skills and experience coupled with the ability to learn new skills quickly and work within a fast-paced environment. The veterinary dermatology nurse will also communicate closely with clients, providing outstanding customer service and assist the dermatologist in various specialist consultations and procedures throughout the day.This is a full-time or part time position on a 12-month contract working 4 x10 hour days per week for full time or negotiated days for part time. There is a possibility that this role could lead to permanent employment for the right candidate.The role is based at our Glen Waverley and or Essendon Fields location.Qualifications

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Intradermal testing for allergiesAssisting with ear flushes, biopsies, laser surgery, MRI, hearing testsAssisting with consultations and dischargesClient phone calls, emails and follow upAdditional Information
