Job Description Omari Bendigo is a vibrant dining destination located in White Hills, Victoria, offering high-quality meals crafted from fresh ingredients and modern flavours. As our customer base continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled Chef to join our kitchen team and support our expanding operations. Location: White Hills, Victoria 3550Position: Chef – Full-TimeSalary: $76,000 – $82,000 + Superannuation About the Role The Chef will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to a high standard across all service periods. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations, maintain food quality and consistency, and assist with menu creation and planning. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation. Assist with planning and developing menus, including daily specials and seasonal dishes. Inspect ingredients for freshness, quality, and correct storage before use. Coordinate workflow during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of meals. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas according to food safety standards. Oversee stock rotation, monitor inventory levels, and assist with ordering supplies. Train and support junior kitchen staff as required. Ensure compliance with WHS, food handling, and hygiene regulations. Maintain a positive, productive, and collaborative working environment. Skills & Experience Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification. (1-2) years of experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen environment. Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks. Excellent teamwork, communication, and organisational skills.
