Senior Legal Counsel

This helps us to delight the 600 million people who enjoy our drinks every day.ABOUT YOUR TEAMThe Australian BU Legal team is responsible for providing proactive legal support to the Australian business, which is the largest business in CCEP’s APS (Australia, Pacific and South-East Asia) business unit. The purpose of the Legal function is to be the PPE for CCEP – to Protect, Partner and Empower for sustainable growth.You will be joining a vibrant and collegial team that works with some of the world’s most recognised brands. The team is comprised of seven lawyers (including two specialist Workplace Relations lawyers), a Legal Operations Manager, a Legal Coordinator and an Executive Assistant. We work flexibly at CCEP, splitting our working days between our cutting-edge office at North Sydney (3 days per week) and home (2 days per week)ABOUT YOUR ROLEYou will be a senior member of the Legal function of CCEP’s Australian business, working closely with the General Counsel Australia, Deputy General Counsel Australia and other team members.The Senior Legal Counsel is responsible for providing informed, practical legal advice and training to the Australian business in order to create maximum value while appropriately managing business and legal risks.

Every day, you will protect, partner with and empower the business for sustainable growth, as well as act as a mentor for other team members and a key contact for members of the Australian Leadership Team

The types of matters you might work on include navigating general commercial issues, drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements (particularly sales agreements), competition and consumer matters, supply chain projects, M&A projects, property and construction matters, health, safety and environment matters, marketing, intellectual property, litigation and other general corporate arrangementsIn addition to leading these types of matters, you will be the key Legal partner for one or more business channels (e.g. Sales – At Home, Sales – Away From Home, Supply Chain), working in partnership with the leadership team/s for those channel/s and providing legal counsel in a manner that drives forward CCEP’s competitive and commercial advantage and safeguards CCEP’s long-term viability and success. You will be responsible for identifying all relevant stakeholders/functions that need to be involved in a particular project and engaging with them confidently for their input, adopting a “One CCEP” approach.At your heart, you will be a commercial enabler and a team player with a passion to become entrenched in our business, to leverage your expertise, collaborate with stakeholders and influence decisions today for tomorrowWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Providing robust, clear and commercially-focused legal advice, with solutions that are designed specifically to work in a CCEP context and focused on areas that would otherwise bring risk to the businessActing as the key Legal partner for assigned business channel/s, working closely with
