Requirements for this role: Looking for candidates available to work: Mon morning Tue morning Wed morning Thu morning Fri morning Sat morning Sun morning 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role This is an immediate start position DAY WORK ONLY NO NIGHT WORK REQUIRED We are a large and very busy indoor play centre in North Geelong serving a variety of food from traditional play centre fare and healthy snacks, to restaurant quality meals including vegetarian and vegan options. We need an experienced, creative and hard-working Chef / Cook to join our energetic team. This casual position leads to permanent full time in 6 months time equal to full time hours. We are looking for someone with at least 3 years experience cooking in different styles and cuisines. You will be reliable, hard‑working, proactive, organised, creative, patient and passionate about food and customer service. You will be able to work in a high-pressure, high-turnover environment, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be a team player and also able to work unsupervised. You will also be able to work a flexible schedule including days, weekends and public holidays. Applicants must possess demonstrated experience in the following: Food preparation, cooking, plating and presentation; Kitchen maintenance and cleaning; Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies; Supplier liaison; Budget control; Menu planning; Following food safety requirements and holding relevant certifications. A particular knowledge and experience with Vegetarian and Vegan food would be highly regarded.
