You will be responsible for providing expertise and support to emerging fleet issues as well as the introduction of new rail products. Hands‑on involvement in the electrical design aspects of rail fleet is required.This position is aimed at someone at the Senior / Principal level with 10+ years experience across design / engineering. Location- Brisbane WestDuration- 3-month Contract (ABN not required)Rate- $1000/day Responsibilities Providing specialist engineering guidance and expertise related to the electrical engineering discipline, primarily focused on rolling stock / locomotive products Design and checking/review of rail components and systems ensuring they conform to required rail and safety standards – including engineering specifications, design layouts, cost estimates. Diagnose and correct failures and deficiencies within existing rolling stock Ensuring designs comply with rail industry regulations and client requirements Incorporate whole life costs into design changes, ensuring that designs are cost effective Stakeholder engagement including liaising with internal teams, as well as customers. Required Experience Electrical Engineering Degree CPEng, RPEQ or MIEAust membership preferable (you must at least be eligible) Experience in the design and manufacture or retrofit of rolling stock or electrical auxiliaries such as traction motors, instrumentation, pantographs, batteries, converters, control systems as well as supporting electrical infrastructure CAD experience Familiar with rail standards such as EN, RISSB, ONRSR and AS/NZ Please contact or 0448 220 849 for any further information. #J-18808-Ljbffr
