We are looking for a full‑time remedial massage therapist who has the following skills, qualifications and experience. Minimum qualification: Diploma of Remedial Massage or an equivalent AQF Diploma. Minimum 3 years of full‑time experience as a remedial massage therapist. Experience with Traditional Thai massage therapy that combines acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Excellent interpersonal skills. Comfortable with performing massages on diverse clients. Your duties will include: Performing therapeutic massage and administering body treatments for relaxation, health, fitness and remedial purposes. Massaging the soft tissues of the body, such as muscles, tendons and ligaments, to assist healing. Utilising a range of massage techniques to enhance sports performance and prevent injury. Administering treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation and relieve muscle tension. Assessing and treating specific soft tissue dysfunction and providing rehabilitation advice. Employing other techniques, such as acupressure or Shiatsu, and complementary aids, such as infra‑red lamps, wet compresses, ice, essential oils and herbal and mineral therapies, to assist recovery. Assessing the client's physical condition and case history and advising on stretching exercises and relaxation techniques. Maintaining compliance with OH&S policies and procedures. Contractor requirements: professional indemnity and public liability insurance, ABN, and a First Aid/CPR certification.
