Position Overview The Dispatch Assistant plays a key role in ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, labelled and dispatched on time. This role suits someone with strong attention to detail, a good work ethic, and an interest in plants or horticulture. Key Responsibilities Picking plant orders according to dispatch lists. Check, and prepare plants for delivery/collection to ensure accuracy and quality. Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized dispatch and loading area. Communicate with the sales and dispatch teams to clarify orders or resolve discrepancies. Assist with stock movement and plant maintenance as required. Operate tractors and other vehicles. Ensure safe handling and transport of plants to maintain their quality. Essential Requirements Previous nursery experience is essential. Ability to work comfortably standing for long periods, outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform manual handling tasks. Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required for this role. Manual driver’s licence. Benefits Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
