Civil Project Manager

We are regularly tendering for works in the Brisbane & greater QLD area and are seeking expressions of interest from experienced professional Civil Project Managers in the road construction / maintenance industry interested in joining us and capable of committing to assignments for a period of approximately 1 – 2 years with the possibility of ongoing extensions and other projects. Significant road construction and maintenance delivery experience will be required to manage & lead the projects during the delivery phase from a contractor's standpoint. This includes competency in the following areas: Budgeting, programming, monitoring expenditure, controlling resources and reviewing priorities. Managing Labour, Plant, Materials and Subcontract within budget and time constraints. Undertaking various contract management activities including client liaison. Procurement of road‑making materials and project services within guidelines. Implementing PM techniques and systems in accordance with systems and processes. Submitting reports and providing information to management within timeframes. Training and guiding project staff on specifications and construction processes. Contributing to the estimating process for bids or offers. Maintaining a high standard in traffic management. Strong experience & knowledge of TMR Technical Specifications. Working knowledge of 3PCM, SAP, P6 or other similar project management packages is an advantage. Strong written, verbal communication & computer literacy skills. Experience with QMS and their effective application on construction projects. Experience with Project Management Systems, including Safety and Environment. The hours are variable from 40 per week+, however longer hours & weekend work may be required to suit workload. The role can be Brisbane & greater QLD based, however some work away in regional or remote locations may be required depending on requirements. Qualifications Possession of a degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification, which is accepted by the Institution of Engineers Australia as a full Member (MIEAust) or alternatives such as a Bachelor of Technology / Civil etc may be acceptable if you have the work experience. Prior TMR Pre‑Qualification as a PMC01 would be a distinct advantage. You must have the right to work in Australia, with well‑developed interpersonal and consultative skills, at least 5 years prior Australian experience in the Civil Roads Infrastructure Industry working with QLD Councils, DTMR &/or any Australian State Road Authority, directly or indirectly & strictly Australian Residents, already living here only. You must also possess a current drivers licence.
