An exciting opportunity has arisen within the West Moreton Health Nutrition and Food Services team for Part-Time/Casual CA3 Nutrition Assistant.**| Workplace Location | Brisbane - West,Ipswich region |**About the role**This position will be located at the new Ripley Specialised Inpatient Services facility, which is introducing a new on-demand Food Service model, supported by an Electronic Patient Menu Management System (ePMMS). The purpose of this position is to optimise nutrition care for patients through accurate meal provision, quality improvement and effective teamwork. The role requires a good knowledge of nutrition and therapeutic diets. Computer skills will be required for this position.Ripley Specialised Inpatient Services is a state-of-the-art facility that will deliver 90 additional beds in West Moreton as part of Queensland Health's Accelerated Infrastructure Delivery Program. The project will deliver a three-storey facility located on Botany Drive, South Ripley. It is located on the Ripley Health Campus and is co-located with the current Satellite Health Centre.**About you**Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:* Basic knowledge of hospital food service systems and the ability to acquire knowledge in the principles of nutrition, therapeutic application, and food safety compliance requirements.* Sound computer literacy skills, including basic knowledge of medical and nutrition terminology.* Effective organisation skills including the ability to complete work schedules within timeframes and meet service deadlines, whilst remaining flexible to respond to changing needs.* Sound communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively as a team member in a multidisciplinary health setting, including a good understanding of own scope of practice in complex work environment.* Understands, contributes to and accurately follows quality systems and procedures.**Mandatory Requirements:*** Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the ( )**About West Moreton Health**West Moreton Health is one of the most rapidly evolving health services in the south east corner, with a community growth expected to almost double to more than 588,000 by 2036.
