Position Title: Mechanical - Ballarat PP Position Type: Regular - Full-Time Location: Ballarat Grade: Scale NO GRADE Requisition ID: 36937 Job Purpose Responsible for proactively completing assigned planned/scheduled Maintenance Tasks and unplanned/reactive/corrective activities to maintain the function and reliability of assets safely, efficiently and effectively. Key Accountabilities Comply with safety procedures Comply with food safety & quality procedures. Carry out assigned scheduled maintenance tasks in a safe, food safe and environmentally safe way and to the expected quality. Work with the Production team to address urgent equipment defects and act on opportunity windows Work alongside contractors Able to Interpret and draw mechanical diagrams using Computer Aided Design (CAD). Responsible for ensuring defects are addressed and supporting Operators Use SAP as the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Provide accurate and timely feedback and completion of assigned work orders with all required information, including asset information, time spent, parts used and comments Raise Notifications for identified corrective work requirements; Confirms time and TECOs work orders. Design, Support and Implement ongoing reliability improvements for equipment and participate in Problem Solving exercises as required Assist in the training of Apprentices. Write technical reports if required. Observe Good Housekeeping Practices / 5S practices Follow the Site Escalation Process Additional Duties – the employer may direct an employee to carry out any additional duties that are within the limits of the employees’ skill, competence and training Knowledge, Skills & Experience Current Cert IV in a Mechanical qualification. Current driver’s license – is essential to this position. Current forklift license – is essential to this position. Desired to have skills in Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Welding Sound computer skills, and proficiency in Prometheus Experience in SAP & SRM systems would be an advantage. Good organisational skills – efficiently schedule time to ensure all work requirements meet specifications and timeframes. Strong problem-solving skills. Able to work in a team environment Excellent communication, report writing and problem-solving skills. Commitment to abide by all company policies/procedures.
