Senior Engineer – Stormwater Infrastructure $54 per hour + super | 6-month contract | View to extend Strathpine location | Government opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Stormwater Engineer to join a supportive Infrastructure Planning team on a 6-month contract, with a strong view to extend. This role will see you provide technical advice and lead complex investigations across stormwater infrastructure, drainage, water quality and flood management projects. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and consultants, contributing to the planning and delivery of key stormwater projects to support community outcomes. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer looking to take ownership of technical work and deliver meaningful impact. Key Responsibilities Provide specialist engineering advice across stormwater, drainage and flood-related matters Lead complex investigations and prepare technical reports & recommendations Coordinate & undertake design studies for stormwater improvement works Manage specialist consultants on investigation & design projects Prepare preliminary designs, cost estimates and documentation Present complex technical reports and communicate findings to stakeholders Contribute to planning, approvals and efficient project delivery Build and maintain strong internal & external stakeholder relationships About You Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent) Strong experience in stormwater planning, design & infrastructure management Proven ability to lead complex technical investigations Excellent written communication — comfortable preparing reports & presenting findings Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects C-Class driver's licence Additional Details Location: Strathpine Contract: 6 months + likely extension Rate: $54ph + super Employer Type: Government sector — great development & stability APPLY NOW Send your updated CV with Cover Letter to Andi Fresnido SPONSORSHIP IS NOT AVAILABLE for this role.
