Labourer – Field Services (ESC050) Permanent Full-Time | 9-Day Fortnight | Paget Depot About The Role Join Mackay Regional Council’s Field Services team and help maintain essential infrastructure for our community. This hands‑on role involves working outdoors, supporting civil construction and maintenance activities, and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of services. Key Responsibilities Assist with construction and maintenance of roads, drainage, and other civil assets. Operate small plant and equipment safely and effectively. Perform manual labour tasks in varying weather conditions. Comply with Workplace Health & Safety requirements and Council policies. Work collaboratively within a team to meet project deadlines. Essential Qualifications & Skills Current Queensland C Class Driver’s Licence. Ability to perform physical labour and work in outdoor environments. Basic knowledge of civil construction practices. Commitment to safety and teamwork. White Card (Construction Induction) – or ability to obtain. Desirable MR or HR Driver’s Licence. Experience in civil works or similar labouring roles. Benefits Permanent full-time position with a 9-day fortnight. Base annual salary of $64,517.00 + applicable allowances. Up to 18% superannuation (conditions apply).
