Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging of $90,000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week. Position Overview: J&S Constructions Group Pty Ltd – a growth-oriented construction firm based in Clyde North delivering high quality residential and light-commercial building works. As a Carpenter at J&S Constructions Group, you will be responsible for the precision construction of timber and building structures, working from plans through to finishing, ensuring high standards across formwork, frameworks and finish carpentry. This position requires strong carpentry skills, the ability to read technical drawings and a commitment to quality workmanship. Responsibilities Study building plans and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures. Order and select timbers and materials, prepare layouts for construction tasks. Cut, shape and fit timber parts, assemble and nail cut and shaped components for structures and fixtures. Erect framework and roof framing, lay sub‑flooring and floorboards and verify the trueness and level of structures. Fit exterior wall cladding, door and window frames, fascia panels and roof sheathing as required. Install finished carpentry such as windows, doors, stairs, cabinets or other joinery fixtures in residential/light‑commercial builds. Maintain safe, clean and organised work‑site conditions, assist with formwork, repairs of existing timber structures and ensure compliance with WHS requirements. Hang internal doors, fix architraves and skirting, install locks on doors. Window and external door installation, cladding installation, window infills, eaves. Wall straightening, bulkheads, fireplace and feature wall construction. Collaborate with project managers, other trades, and sub‑contractors to ensure works are completed on time, to specification and to high quality standards. Qualifications Relevant qualification. Minimum 1 year experience as a Carpenter. Strong experience in carpentry trade including structural timber framing, finish carpentry and joinery. Ability to read and interpret architectural/construction drawings and specifications. Proficient in using carpentry hand and power tools, comfortable working at heights and on site. Good communication skills, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
