We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and hands‑on Operations Manager to lead our Kalgoorlie branch. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive performance, safety, and customer satisfaction‑ensuring our team and operations deliver at their best every single day. As the Operations Manager, you’ll lead a dedicated local team and oversee the full operational function of the branch—from equipment hire and transport to maintenance and service delivery. You’ll play a key role in driving efficiency, growth, and profitability while maintaining our strong safety and customer‑first culture. This is not a FIFO role – only Kalgoorlie residents will be considered. Champion a safety‑first culture by promoting proactive risk management and best practice across all operations. Lead, coach, and empower your team to achieve performance targets and deliver exceptional service. Drive operational excellence, ensuring revenue, cost, and profit goals are consistently met. Oversee equipment maintenance, transport, and hire operations to ensure maximum fleet availability and reliability. Embed a Lean / Continuous Improvement mindset to boost productivity and reduce waste. Promote a Customer First approach focused on quality, reliability, and zero defects. Manage budgets, monitor costs, and optimise branch performance against key financial KPIs. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities. Report directly to the General Manager / Director on operational performance, strategic opportunities, and branch profitability. This role works Monday to Friday 7 am to 5 pm based out of our Kalgoorlie branch. You’re a proven operations leader with a passion for people, safety, and results. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are skilled at balancing strategy with hands‑on leadership. You’ll bring: Strong operational and people‑management experience, ideally within equipment hire, logistics, or industrial services. A technical or mechanical background, with solid understanding of equipment maintenance and fleet operations. Proven ability to drive performance, accountability, and culture within a team. Financial capabilities, with sound literacy in spreadsheets and financial management. Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
