The Opportunity As an Associate or Senior Associate within the Commercial Property team, you will: Act on a broad range of commercial property matters, including acquisitions and disposals, leasing, property development, and general advisory work. Draft, negotiate, and review complex commercial contracts and property documentation. Work closely with experienced partners and senior practitioners on both major transactions and mid-sized projects. Manage files autonomously while contributing to the team’s commercial strategy and client service delivery. Develop and maintain strong relationships with a diverse and loyal client base, including developers, investors, landlords, tenants, SMEs, and corporate clients. Support the continued growth and development of the Queensland and national property practice. For Senior Associate candidates, there is a clear Partner Pathway, including structured development, mentoring, and the opportunity to progress to partnership in the future. This role offers genuine career progression, exposure to sophisticated work, and the support of a collaborative and high-performing national team. About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: 3–8+ years PAE in commercial property law (or a related transactional practice). Strong technical capability across property transactions, leasing, due diligence, and contract drafting. Proven experience running files, managing client relationships, and delivering clear commercial advice. A commercial mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. High professional standards and a proactive, solutions-focused approach. Ambition to grow into a leadership role (particularly for Senior Associate candidates interested in the Partner Pathway).
