Job Summary We are looking for a high performing, ambitious Field Service Engineer with the hunger to succeed. CUTERA ANZ is a fast-paced dynamic team that thrives on achieving results in a supportive team environment. Your role will be pivotal in testing, installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and support of CUTERA ANZs full product portfolio. This involves providing service support on a broad range of technologies including sophisticated laser and optical delivery systems and RF devices. The ideal candidate would have a strong electronics background and field experience. Location & Travel Must reside in: Brisbane or Gold Coast (QLD) or Sydney, NSW (per qualification requirement) Region covers: QLD (and other territories as required) Travel: ~80 % of time, including overnights; interstate and international as required Reports to: Regional Field Service Manager Job Details Level: Experienced Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $80,000 - $105,000 Position Summary Your role will involve providing service support on devices located at KOLs, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and other practitioners throughout the territory. You will support customers by establishing collaborative relationships, managing expectations, and contributing to their success through repair work, service reporting and initiatives. Duties & Responsibilities Provide outstanding professional, courteous, prompt and skilled technical service to Cutera customers. Maintain operational quality of systems and instruct customers on operation and maintenance. Document all service activities in compliance with FDA requirements. Develop resolutions for critical troubleshooting problems, resolving complex issues creatively. Use people and technical skills to make customer interactions positive, pleasant and memorable. Work closely with Area Sales Manager and direct Manager to identify customers for upgrades, new purchases, contracts, and training. Identify error codes, recurrence problems or odd troubleshooting solutions to direct Manager and R&D to resolve and contain costs. Flash update software and firmware. Timely and accurate reporting of RMAs, work orders, performance data, device logs, van stock and expense reports. Other duties as needed or required. Qualifications & Minimum Requirements Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification in laser technology, or relevant trade qualifications. Experience with high‑voltage DC circuits and precision optical & mechanical alignments. Minimum of 3+ years of electronic system troubleshooting; laser experience preferred. Minimum of 2+ years of installation and ongoing maintenance of electronic and electromechanical machinery. Knowledge and understanding of optics, electronics and mechanical principles; ability to troubleshoot assemblies down to component level. Candidates must reside in Sydney, NSW and have ability to travel on short notice. Ability to travel interstate and internationally to support customers and attend training/meetings. Expert customer service skills, positive attitude, clear and tactful communication. Must be able to lift 20 kg. Excellent written and verbal communication and organisational skills. Medical device experience highly regarded. Experience with Salesforce.com or similar system highly regarded.
