Clinical Nurse Youth Detention Centre, Queensland Health Our Health Service is expanding and so is our Prison and Youth Detention Health Services Team Prison and Youth Detention Health Services (PYDHS) is a rapidly growing division within the West Moreton Health region, delivering primary health care services to detained, remanded and sentenced prisoners and Young Persons across eight facilities (six Correctional Centres and two Youth Detention Centres). To read more on what it's like to work for West Moreton Health: What it's like to work with us | West Moreton Health About you Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge in the area of primary health care delivering expert nursing care in complex situations while providing support and direction to other team members. Greater than two years clinical experience in corrections, primary health care, emergency or rural and remote health would be highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to role model excellent standards of comprehensive, evidence‑based nursing care and documentation to facilitate quality patient outcomes, in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service and professional standards. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard. Demonstrated ability to coordinate staff and manage delegated resources including prioritising needs and supporting day‑to‑day operations. Demonstrated ability to support and lead quality improvement and research initiatives within the work unit, contributing to the use of evidence based practice to facilitate improved patient outcomes. Mandatory Requirements Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
