Sales Representative/BDM

Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description About the role: As a Sales Representative/BDM at Good Food Distributors, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and growing our customer base across the Hunter Central Coast regions. This full‑time position involves engaging with new and existing customers, identifying opportunities, and delivering high‑quality sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and business success. Responsibilities Prospecting and identifying new business opportunities within your designated territory. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers through excellent communication and service. Presenting our product range and negotiating sales contracts to secure new business. Providing post‑sales support to ensure customer retention and satisfaction. Collaborating with the broader sales team to share best practices and contribute to the overall sales strategy. Reporting on sales activities, pipeline, and performance metrics. Qualifications Meat, Coffee & Wine knowledge is an advantage. Minimum of 3‑4 years of food sales experience as an existing sales person (chefs looking for a change also an advantage). Proven track record in a sales or business development role, preferably within the food or distribution industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build strong customer relationships. Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities. Strong negotiation and problem‑solving skills. Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools. A proactive, adaptable, and customer‑focused mindset. Existing customer base in Newcastle/Hunter area preferred but not essential. Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required. What we offer Competitive salary.
