We require a person who is seeking an Apprenticeship in the Electronic trades to join our growing team of Technicians in Townsville. The position is for a Junior Apprentice in the Electronic Field, specifically Data Communications, CCTV and Access Control systems. The following Qualifications will be obtained over a 3-year period: Qualifications ICT30524 Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology which includes an ACMA Open Cablers Licence. All Endorsements to the ACMA Cablers Licence. Combined Intruder Alarm and CCTV Course. Please DO NOT apply if you want to be an Electrician. This is an apprenticeship with a difference. Your work activities will include tasks such as installing and maintaining industrial Data Communications, CCTV and Access Control Systems, working with local/regional and remote Council surveillance systems and all aspects in between. Duties Major Project installations of Data Communications, CCTV and Access Control Systems Routine and breakdown maintenance of customer equipment Diagnose, test and rectify faults in Data Communications, CCTV and Access Control Systems Skills & Experience Have completed Year 10 with high achievements in Maths & Science subjects. Ability to communicate work related information both verbal and written. Ability to work as part of a team. Willingness to learn and develop own skills and knowledge. Ability to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 25kg, and occasionally up to 55kg, in a working posture other than seated. Have an interest in Electronics and Computers. Be willing to obtain a Manual driver’s licence (Provisional licence accepted). Possess a Construction White Card or be willing to obtain prior to commencement.
