Working within the Lighting Category team, you will be responsible for sourcing and developing a range of products that satisfies the needs of our customers, is market relevant, and contributes to the ongoing success of the business. Ideally, you will have a trade qualification or extensive experience within the automotive industry, and are looking for an opportunity to further your career away from the tools.Responsibilities:Determining customer requirements and identifying opportunities for improvement within our current product offeringWorking with suppliers to develop new products and negotiate improvements to key business metricsManaging the product lifecycle from inception through to end of life including the implementation of effective stock clearance strategiesWorking collaboratively with other departments and engaging stakeholders to ensure new products are delivered efficiently and effectivelyConducting product tests, producing training material, and providing ongoing technical support to the store network and customer baseAnalysing data and reporting on category performanceSkills & Experience:Trade qualification or extensive experience in the aftermarket automotive industrySound understanding of automotive lighting systems.The ability to think like a customer and translate that into effective product strategies.Driven and highly organised mindset with an excellent attention to detailStrong communication and negotiation skillsBasic to intermediate computer skills including Microsoft ExcelWe can offer you:Being part of a global organisation recognised and awarded as an employer of choiceAn all-inclusive team environment built on collaboration, respect, and care for one anotherOngoing training and career developmentHealth and well-being programs providing financial, career, family, nutrition, and lifestyle support and guidanceGenerous staff discounts across GPC Asia Pacific brands within Australia and New ZealandDiscounts across a range of products from external providers including travel, health insurance, motor vehicles, and hire carsThank you for your interest in joining the GPC Family.
