Salary: Competitive Location: Canberra What you'll do: Manage a diverse portfolio of commercial clients with lending needs up to ~$15m, delivering tailored, growth‑focused financial solutions. Build strong networks within Canberra's business community, industry associations, and local organisations. Identify and convert new business opportunities while maintaining high service standards for existing clients. Conduct insightful, needs‑based customer conversations to design holistic financial strategies. Collaborate closely with regional leaders, product specialists, and credit teams to ensure efficient and effective outcomes. Coach and support branch and frontline colleagues to strengthen business banking capability across the ACT region. Stay informed on local industry trends, market conditions, and product developments to provide relevant, informed advice. Champion responsible, ethical banking practices and act as a trusted advisor for businesses across the region. What you bring: Experience in business or commercial banking, ideally managing SME or mid‑market clients. Strong business lending skills, including structuring and assessing complex transactions. Sound knowledge of credit risk and financial analysis. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship‑building abilities. A customer‑first approach with creativity in developing tailored solutions. Relevant tertiary qualification in business, finance, or a related field.
