Technical Claims Assistant role at McLarens Location: Sydney, QLD, AU Opportunity McLarens is a leading independent global insurance services provider founded in 1932 with offices in 45 countries. The Technical Claims Assistant supports Loss Adjusters in managing claims, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. The role uses appropriate systems to maintain data integrity and works with the central billing team to ensure financial procedures are followed. Duties & Responsibilities Support technical claims handling including non‑complex fee earning case work. Liaise with Loss Adjusters to support the management of claims from initial set‑up to conclusion. Acknowledge and notify associated parties of new claims. Act as contact point for insured, insurers, brokers and stakeholders to ensure optimum service levels. Format and issue technical reports in compliance with professional standards and internal guidelines within agreed timescales. Deal with internal and external queries in a professional manner and accurately record conversations/messages. Ensure compliance with McLarens' financial procedures and maintain data accuracy in relevant systems. Run, check, analyse and distribute reports, including compliance reports from internal claims system. Assist with preparation of client and business presentations and participate in projects as required. Document and schedule marketing activity and compile, update and maintain client documentation and spreadsheets. Undertake general office administrative duties such as diary management, expense management, booking appointments, file creation and minute taking. Qualifications Previous experience in the insurance industry, particularly in the management of claims, is desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new technology are required. Skills & Experienceh3> Experience managing claims in the insurance industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to learn new technology and software requirements. Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
